Data and contact details

Palazzo Tittoni was built in the 1600s and is located just a few meters from Palazzo del Quirinale and Palazzo Barberini, near Via del Tritone and Via Veneto, in the prestigious center of the capital. Originally constructed at the end of the 16th century on vineyards belonging to Cardinal Grimani, the palace was later expanded and enlarged (between 1677 and 1688) under a commission entrusted to the architect Carlo Fontana. Among the additions is a glass pavilion used as a greenhouse or winter garden, connected to the ballroom, both featuring a magnificent marble floor salvaged from an ancient Roman palace that had been destroyed, which the Senator had installed in both rooms.

At the beginning of the 19th century, the property was sold to Cavaliere Antonio Tittoni, whose descendant, Senator Tommaso Tittoni, had it restored and partially expanded between 1902 and 1904.

The combination of the ballroom and the adjoining “greenhouse,” partly adorned with movable carpets and draperies and featuring a central marble fountain, was often used as a reception hall for both family and public events. It is now offered as a venue for various kinds of gatherings, conferences, and similar occasions.
