For the Rome Art Week 2021, the journalist and curator Loredana De Pace in collaboration with the cultural association NESSUNO[press] and the cultural platform PhotoCoach, presents the body of work "People and Places" produced by the photographer Marco Ciccolella. The author will converse with Loredana De Pace, hosted by NESSUNO[press]'s streaming platform.
In the week of Rome Art Week 2021, on October 27 at 7pm, PhotoCoach and NESSUNO[press] will host online the photographer Marco Ciccolella who, in conversation with the journalist and curator Loredana De Pace, will speaks about the genesis of his "People and Places" project.
Marco Ciccolella is a photographer who manages to find and capture the wonder of any situation, apparently full of banality. He satisfies his hunger for beauty and amazement by traveling, looking around, observing and talking with the protagonists of his shots in which he collects stories, faces, people.
His reportages tell the world around him, trying to capture the essence of the stories that he stops in the instant of a shot. We could describe him as a "lover of the ordinary" photographer, where in the ordinary he steals the deepest beauty and gives it to those who look at his photographs of him.
He is attracted by the charm of normality, and what is more "normally fascinating" than capturing an emotion? That hinted smile as you talk about something you love, or describe your place in the heart.
This is the goal of People and Places, to photograph people from all over the world in their favorite places, to show how much we are all the same, but at the same time profoundly different.
