Sharing 10x10

Sharing 10x10 presents 10 stories through 50 photographs—portraits and acts of solidarity inspired by the spirit of Saint Martin. A delicate yet powerful exhibition uniting visual art and humanity.

Please note that the Hungarian Academy in Rome will be closed on Monday, October 23rd due to Hungarian national holidays.

Sharing 10x10. Ten Stories of Today is the Roman edition of the photographic exhibition Osztás 10×10, conceived by Pannonhalma Archabbey. Through 50 images organized into 10 personal narratives, the exhibition illuminates discreet acts of humanity: people who, in everyday life and often quietly, choose to devote themselves to the common good, embodying the spiritual legacy of Saint Martin.
The narratives span from birth to maturity to final farewell, tracing an existential thread that binds the individual to the collective. Each photographic series, shaped with narrative sensitivity, reveals the contradictions, fragilities, and virtues of those who live service to others as a vocation.
The photographs, by Balázs Attila, Hajdú D. András, and Pályi Zsófia, are paired with a spare visual layout, allowing the intensity of faces and stories to emerge. Curated by István Virágvölgyi, the project ensures thematic coherence and emotional resonance.
On display at the Hungarian Academy in Rome until November 18, 2025, Sharing 10x10 invites visitors to reflect on the value of solidarity today: not as a spectacular gesture, but as an essential, attentive, daily presence. Each story becomes an occasion for empathy; each face a point of connection between “I” and “we.”
