Federica Piras

Born in 1994 in Iglesias, Sardinia, she left her land in 2013 to achieve a Bachelor of Arts in Historical and Artistic Studies at the University of Rome Sapienza, and then continuing her studies by obtaining a Master of Arts in History in 2019. During this period she refined his knowledge, dwelling on fields of interest such as conceptual art and graphics, in particular Italian and foreign comics.

During his academic career he has the opportunity to enter the world of contemporary art first with an internship at the Fondazione Pastificio Cerere (Rome) and then through the first exhibition of contemporary art at the Palazzo del Quirinale, Da io a noi, the city without borders, as a cultural mediator, refining his knowledge in the field of art education.

She works with Rome Art Week since 2018 and she collaborates with the Kou Association, for which she curated and managed the exhibition Pyros, Scritto nel fuoco, allowing her to promote a young emerging artist.

In 2020 she moved to Milan to continue her museology studies. Currently, she's a museology, museography and museum management student at Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore. 

In 2021 she started Nextus collective, a curatorial collective aimed to promote emerging artists.
