Wars

A sensory archive spanning a decade of global conflicts, the installation showcases the paradox of modern warfare: the unbridgeable gap between political rhetoric and the reality of numbers.

A chronological flow where each year is punctuated by a single number: the death toll of a nation. While statistics, country names, and official data scroll across the screen, the soundscape is saturated by a cacophony of declarations from world leaders, promises of peace, and proclamations of victory.

These voices are gradually assaulted and drowned out by the "noise of history": the whistling of drones, the roar of explosions, machine gun fire, and the muffled screams of the revolting streets.

The word loses all meaning, becoming pure white noise that tries in vain to cover the unbearable weight of the numbers.
