Palazzo Cisterna, built by the famous sculptor and architect Guglielmo della Porta, the palace's first owner, is elegant in its linearity, with the central arches of the square courtyard forming a loggia. The important halls inside feature frescoed ceilings and walls. The palace houses the Atelier Guglielmo della Porta and the Cenacolo de L'Erma, where the Foundation's cultural exhibitions take place.

The Francesco Paolo and Annamaria Ducci Foundation has been interested in art since 2000 when it presented the exhibition 'Uomini' (Men) by Gil Topaz at its inauguration.
During this twenty-year period, the Ducci Foundation has acquired some of the works displayed during successive exhibitions, building up an important collection of contemporary art. This includes works by Hermann Nitsch, Giorgio De Chirico, Emilio Vedova, Mimmo Paladino, Jannis Kounellis, Marc Chagall, etc.

The Foundation has also acquired a large collection of contemporary art in Morocco in Fez, where it opened its own branch in October 2010. Since 2014, the Foundation has had its own contemporary art gallery, 'Aquas', located in the medina of Fez, next to the Foundation's headquarters building. Part of the collection was exhibited in July 2017 in Rabat, at the prestigious Bab Al Rouah State Gallery, in an exhibition entitled 'Exempla: extraits de la collection d'art de la Fondation Ducci au Maroc'.
