The enchanting tattoo artist brings his creativity from tattoo in the design.
"I have imagined bigger surfaces to be tattooed", she say joking, but this is the research of a cultured and conscious artist, that through a symbolic object of sharing and meditation like the carpet invites us in an evocative and elegant world. The main themes are the Pacific tattoos, , Tahitians and from the Marquesas Islands, , the return back home of the noble adventurers and sailors in the Forties, reviewed with the expressive freedom of who know the meaning of symbols. Revisited by her elegant sign,panthers, skulls and pierced hearts live together with the sophisticated geometries and the delicate symbolic designs of which the bodies of the Pacific populations have always been tattooed. This limited-edition carpet colletion, respectful and quiet of the meaning of the symbols, they represent protection, prosperity, love and freedom.
Admired and loved by many people, today the tattoo is revealed in its deepest meaning thanks also to the Associazione Stigmata, in the person of Luisa Gnecchi Ruscone who will sharing in the exhibition a small collection of photographs of engravings on vintage Polynesian tattoos and paintings and frescoes that, in different places and times, tell us about the tattoo’s history and with her book “Tattoo. La storia e le origini in Italia “
