Josiane Keller is an artist of German origins that lives and works in the US and is one of the most prolific and interesting of the contemporary scene. She will join us with a work titled Hotel-Hotel. Hotel-Hotel presented as a photo-video-installation is a powerful work, capable of provoking strong emotional reactions. The author interrogates herself on the identity of the self and on the demons, that cross the existence of individuals. Stylistically inspired by Nan Goldin’s "Ballad of Sexual Dependency" is composed of about 3000 images. The work, which is interpreted by ceramic puppets realized by the artist herself acting out in scenarios built also through the help of photos from the ‘70ties and ‘80ties, animates stories inspired by personal experiences or episodes from everyday news or political events. Hotel-Hotel has been shown in galleries in Tokyo, Budapest, Chicago, Los Angeles, New York.
