Emanuela Di Filippo (Rome, Italy 1984) is a teacher and visual artist in the field of Fashion, Art Management and Training. Graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome, she became passionate, during her academic years, about the history of costume and costume design. She obtained her teaching qualification in Italy and the professional equivalent also in the United Kingdom. Over the years she has specialized in Fashion Culture with a Master in Fashion Management, applying her experience and research by teaching Fashion Culture courses at the IED in Florence, exhibiting her Fashion Paintings at some English museum spaces (including the Beecroft Art Gallery, the Southend-on-Sea Museum, the WTM Museum and Gallery and the Worthing Museum which houses one of the most significant costume collections in the world) with the exhibition “Inspired by Biba: oil pastel fashion” also reviewed in The Guardian magazine. Recently, on the occasion of the Rome Art Week (RAW) she has participated with an open studio. The first exhibition of 2024 ended very well “Fashion & Costume in the Visual Arts” a duo exhibition, sponsored by the Embassy of Georgia to the Holy See held in the Crocetti Museum in Rome.Continuously updated, she is always looking for stimulating artistic collaborations with the art and fashion industry.
