Francesca Montinaro, is an Italian multimedia artist and scenographer. She obtained her degree at the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome. Her video installations have been exhibited several venues as Galleria Nazionale of Rome, Macro Testaccio, Museo Archeologico Nazionale di Venice, Italy;  ICA, Irving Texas, US; MUA, Alicant, Spain. The artist creates installations and produces projects involving large numbers of people.

Her body of work consists in exploring social customs and human gender. In her works, the contact with reality is vital. She always aspired to carry out projects involving the community. Moreover she works on themes of manipulation and vanity, conceiving installations, some interactive, that create a connection with the observer.

She uses various media in her constant effort to shake up viewers and get them to think: video, drawing, sculpture, assembly, video installation and interactivity. She considers art a network with no predetermined boundaries. She has been a professor of multimedia scenography at the Carrara Fine Arts Academy and at the Rome Academy of Fine Arts, as well at the IED European Institute of Design in Rome.

 1990/2018_ as Shenographer _she has designed more than a hundred scenic installations.
