Angelica Romeo was both in Rome 1970 and spent her youth between Perugia, Monza and Rome. Her mother and maternal grandmother were both painters and the smell of linseed oil permeated her conciousness as an early age. Having attended a conservation studio in Via Margutta for a while she went on to the well known school for conservation of Colalucci from which she graduated in 1991. Having initially followed an entrepreneurial and successful career in furniture design she returned to painting after the arrival of her first child. As an artist she has focused on Abstraction. She debuted in Rome in 2009 with a solo exhibition at Galleria Romberg titled " Doings, Twitching, Revelations" curated by Gianluca Marziani. The work that she exhibited evoked the post informal yet it is respectful of the rigor of the Old Masters' colours. In 2010 she participated in several collective exhibitions in Rome including "Stop the Abuse on Women" ( Museo delle Mura) and "Art without Frontiers" for Medecins Sans Frontieres ( Palazzo Colonna). In 2011 a second solo exhibition of her work intitled 'De Aqua' was held in Rome at the Acquaniene Club. In 2012 she participated in the fourth Fabula in art exhibition for children in Mozambique ( San Salvatore in Lauro). In 2014 she presented works from her Vinyle collection edited by the galleria Mucciaccia at the Art First Hotel. In 2015 she took part in the Baculus collective exhibition in Spoleto (Museo Palazzo Collicola). In the same year, she was one of the principal participant of the prestigious event "Smart Made in Italy" exhibition at the Monaco Yachting Club. In October 2015 she exhibited at the Tennis Club Parioli as part of the "Art In Circle" curator by Galleria Mucciaccia, Gianluca Marziani and Giulia Abate. In 2016 she took part of the important human project “ artist for Amatrice “ in Mucciaccia gallery of Rome . December 2016 is time of a collective exhibition named “DISTRETTOARTE “ at GUIDO RENI DISTRICT in Rome. In 2017 she works for the opening of a new art gallery as artist and supervisor at the same time, situated inside the wonderfoul building of BORROMINI COLLEGIO INNOCENZIANO , Hotel and Gallery Eitch Borromini. Even in 2017 she is one of the five artists chosen as testimonial for the human project “ heart and soil “ promoted by FAO organization in Rome. She collaborates with Mucciaccia contemporary gallery .
